✸ Signal Modifiers: VCF

✸ VCF functions as signal filter, letting through certain harmonics and removing / reducing others.

✸ This alters the timbre (tone coloraturas) of the incoming signal.


Patch 3 VCF

✸ Patch 3 VCF

✸ Connect sawtooth wave output to VCF input. 

✸ Send Low Pass output to VCA audio input 1.

✸ Open Input / Drive Level 

✸ Open and close Cut Off 

✸ Play with tune, cut off and octave switch to hear difference in timbre and pitch. 


Bonus Patch

✸ Bonus Patch

✸ Open cut off to 11 o'clock. 

✸ While VCO 1 is in LFO mode, connect the output of it to cut off CV input on VCF.

✸ Set the cut off CV input knob on positive.

✸ Adjust LFO rate to hear the effect on VCF and open the cut off simultaneously.

✸ Experiment with setting the cut off CV input from positive to negative. 

✸ Hear the effect on the sound, note, how powerful the bass line can be.
